FMP guidance

Initial FMP thoughts? -

  • Animation (internal thought process about the worries of school life.)

Why do you think this could be successful?

  • People of your age can relate to the story
  • Based on similar life experience.
  •  Informational (giving the message that ‘you’re not the only one’)

Where are you going to get the main body of research from?

  •  Technical tutorials
  • ·      Other animated sequences, and how they give their audience a message
  • ·      Research into the actual subject matter (questionnaires/surveys that will inform you about whether other people had a similar experience)
  • ·      Simple backgrounds and how they are drawn/generated
  • ·      Online research about most common problems at school.
  • ·      Colour theory research for background and intended moods (what the audience thinks when they see a colour)

Any Problems?

  •  Time management
  • ·Drawing skills

UAL review

UAL Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology: Review
Name:
Which discipline have you most enjoyed? Why?

I have enjoyed film production the most because I have enjoyed learning how to use video editing software’s  such as final cut pro, and adobe after effect  and the range of project that can be undertaken.

Which project did you most enjoy? Why?

The music video project was my favourite the freedom to plan and film of campus was an interesting experience I learned the importance of planning in advance and the need for greater research and the importance of time management.

What is your strongest piece of work? Why do you think this?

I feel my print leaflet is my strongest piece of work because of all my works this one looks and feels like a professional piece of work and I believe my final piece of work reflexes the amount of research and planning that went in to this project.

What sort of work would you like to make now?
  1. Specialist area? Why?
Video I feel most comfortable working with clips and images and making them work well together.

  1. Subject matter? (Themes / ideas that interest you)
Theme- the transition between your final years at school and moving on to college life
Idea-short 3 to 4 minute animation loop character figure walking animation over white background and create/draw my own backgrounds and fade them over the white to tell a narrative story though sketch like writing and drawn images.

  1. What will you look at for inspiration?

YouTube animation products and animation tutorials ill also heavily inspired by the catch me if you can opening title sequence and the diary of a wimpy kid animation style.
