Draft proposal 2

For my final major project I've chosen the video option because I enjoyed the video projects the most because I do best when working with images and video footage . My idea is to create a short promotional animation video aimed at students between the ages of 14-17 years old, my video will be about the stress and sadness that can builds up in your last years at school like the pressures of exams and the possible depression if you fail as well as the stress for starting over somewhere new (college) and trying to make new friends.

I feel my video will be helpful to anyone dealing with stress as it will be a relatable story with relevant themes and topics and while make people more aware of the help that is around for these issues. My video is supposed to give a positive message to the target audience that the results you get aren't everything and that if you don't do to well you're not alone and there are other options.

My idea is to start with the main character walking alone over a white background,the character model will also only be a outline of a figure as the character walks the backgrounds will appear along with text the backgrounds are going to be hand drawn sketches of class rooms and other school scenes they will be ever drawn by me or drawings I got off sites like deviantart where you can use someone's sketches as long as you credit them or ask their permission. As for the font I want to use a font that looks hand drawn and informal without being unreadable.

My product would be marketed towards schools and parents My project will be hard to achieve I haven't used flash animation before and my drawing skill are lacking however I plan on asking people on sites like deviant art a site where artist post were sketches and works to let me use their work for my backgrounds then fill in the colours myself with photoshop and my character model I will make myself on flash.

For my music I'm want to use calm classical music by Mattia Cupelli there are two songs I plan on

using by him called Lullaby and Touch they are both royalty free classical music piano pieces which I can use as along as I credit the artists however my chosen song may change in the near future. Primary research I’m going to visit a local school or send a survey to the teacher to give to the students to get feedback on my idea and on the topic I’ve chosen, I Hope to get a better idea on the range psychological states in going to be showing in the film.
